Emmerdale star Katie Hill has shared that she was rushed to A&E after stepping on a nail. The actress, who plays Sarah Sugden, told fans on Instagram about her injury, although she seemed more concerned with her actual nails.
Taking to her Stories, Katie asked if anyone could help her get a last minute manicure after she had to cancel her appointment due to her DIY injury.
“This may be a long shot but are there any nail techs in Leeds that could fit me in either tomorrow or Wednesday?” she wrote over a picture of her nails.

“Had to cancel my appointment today due to stepping on a nail and having to go to A&E, house renovation going well.”
Katie later followed up by thanking fans for sending her supportive messages, writing: “All sorted now :). Thanks everyone who reached out, much appreciated! Xx.”
The actress, who has been on the soap since she was 14, is currently involved in a major storyline which saw her accidentally kill the evil Dr Todd last week.
Katie was then part of a special episode on Monday (August 10) which focused on Sarah, her grandmother Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and newcomer Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy).
Following the episode, Katie told fans on Instagram: “I just want to say thank you so much for all the lovely messages about last nights episode. Little me wouldn’t believe she’s getting the opportunity to be a part of stories like this, feeling very grateful.”

Fans know that Charity has decided to take the rap for killing Dr Todd but Sarah has already struggled to keep her story straight.
Speaking about Charity’s motivation, our Emmerdale insider previously revealed: “Charity will go to any lengths to save Sarah.
“Not only does she blame herself for bringing Dr Todd and her blackmail into their lives, but she carries the guilt of lying to Sarah about baby Leyla every day. She sees this as the ultimate act of love and repentance…”
