Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has finally referenced the whereabouts of Jimmy King’s son Elliot Windsor after nearly two years away from our screens.
Elliot has been absent since the end of 2024, but has continued to live in the village off camera.

In Thursday’s episode, Elliot’s stepmum Nicola proves he hasn’t been forgotten, as she mentions that the teen is due to receive some important exam results.
At the café, Nicola leaves Lewis and Kev Barton to hold the fort when she joins Elliot for this milestone moment.
“I’m taking Elliot in to get his A-level results,” she explains.
When Lewis offers his best wishes, Nicola replies: “Yeah, thanks. I guess we’ll find out if he really was working in his room or just pretending.”
So it turns out Elliot has spent most of the past two years upstairs, dutifully studying… and wisely staying out of all the soapy dramas unfolding around him in the village.

Later, Nicola returns in high spirits as she announces: “He did it! Elliot got his grades, so he’s off to St Andrews! He’ll finally be able to say goodbye to all the oiks and scrotes he’s been calling his friends.”
Next week’s scenes see Nicola continue to get excited about Elliot’s imminent university experience – and what life might look like for her and Jimmy once all the kids have flown the nest.
Last month, young actor Luca Hoyle – who plays Elliot – confirmed that he was returning to Emmerdale following his extended absence, so we should see him in-person again soon. This could tie in with reports that Jimmy will be leaving the ITV soap.
“After a short break, I am so excited to say that this summer I am back in the studio filming for a new storyline as Elliot Windsor in Emmerdale,” Luca said on social media.
“It’s a role I’ve been lucky enough to play since 2016, and it’s such a privilege to still be part of it. Looking forward to seeing where this next chapter goes.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
