People across Western counties are today being urged to continue conserving water as warm and dry conditions continue to put pressure on public water supplies.
In Mayo, water supplies serving Erris, Kiltimagh, Bonniconlon, Mulranny and Achill continue to be closely monitored.
A nationwide Water Conservation Order also remains in place until August 26th, following an extended period of exceptionally warm and dry weather and increased demand for water.
Uisce Éireann says efforts by the public to reduce their water use have helped lower demand in a number of areas, but several water sources remain under pressure and need time to recover.
Customers are being asked to avoid unnecessary water use where possible, particularly activities such as using hoses and sprinklers.
People are also being encouraged to take simple steps including taking shorter showers, fixing leaking taps and toilets, and only running washing machines and dishwashers when they are fully loaded.
Uisce Éireann says every effort is being made to safeguard supplies for homes, businesses, farms, hospitals, vulnerable customers and other essential services.
