Residents and commuters on St Nessan’s Road will soon see changes to their local Maxol service station as a €2.6 million redevelopment project moves toward completion.
The extensive site works, which began in June and are scheduled to wrap up in November, involve a 50% increase in the building’s overall footprint to accommodate new retail and fast-food options.
A new Burger King restaurant is being integrated into the location alongside an expanded Maxol Market Deli to offer a wider variety of hot and cold food.
Additionally, the store will stock products from the Dunnes Stores ‘Simply Better’ food line, making it the first forecourt location in Munster to carry the range.
Indoor customer seating is also being increased by 40%, paired with a full refurbishment of the shop floor and overall customer facilities.
