The Rose of Tralee returns to the Kingdom (Tralee, Co.Kerry) from August 14th–August 18th.
Below please find details of public transport to and from Tralee for the festival
14-18 August
with Rose of Tralee Television selection events taking place on 17 and 18 August.
The 5-day festival culminates with the 2 nights at the Tralee Done – where the 32 Roses – representing Irish diaspora from across the globe, speak on stage and live TV – to presenters Daithí O’Shea and Kathryn Thomas.
Many Roses also end their live interview with ‘a party piece’ – a song, a poem, a dance, they may play a musical instrument, or perform some other form of entertainment. At the end of the 2 nights – a new Rose of Tralee is selected and announced – picked by a selection committee who meet the Roses throughout the festival week.

With events throughout the town – Each Rose is also paired with a Male Escort for the festival. The Rose Buds and Rose Buddies program is a special part of the Rose of Tralee International Festival where 32 young girls and 32 boys aged 6 to 10 are paired with official international Roses and Escorts for the week.

Public transport (Bus and Trains)
Public transport (Bus and Trains) will operate on schedule for these events – to help bring the public to and from Tralee.

TFI Local Link Bus services, and Bus Éireann services to and from Tralee bus station.
Train: Iarnród Éireann / Irish Rail to / from Tralee
Mallow- (CorK) to Tralee direct – with stops at Banteer, Millstreet, Killarney, Farranfore, Tralee.
From Mallow – connections to/from Cork and Dublin (Heuston)
There are some direct Cork- Tralee services, and a 17:05 Dublin Heuston – Tralee direct service.
