Hopes for meeting with Waterways Ireland over Ballinamore drowning tragedy

A local councillor is hoping a meeting can be held with Waterways Ireland over a recent drowning tragedy in Ballinamore.
19-year-old Alan Creamer drowned in Kiltymoodan last Saturday night, while attending the Ballinamore Family Festival.

Local councillor Gary Prior has raised safety concerns following the incident, saying a number of drownings have taken place there over the years.
He is now calling for measures to be reviewed with the waterway authority:
