Four men, three aged in their 20s and one in their 40s, have been arrested in what gardaí described as a managed containment operation.
Gardaí attached to the Dublin Crime Response Team supported by local garda units in Dublin west arrested four men on the M50 motorway.
At 10.30am, gardaí conducted a managed containment operation when they stopped a vehicle and arrested four men, believed to be members of an organised burglary gang.
It is believed that this group has used a 2006 Volvo S4 in a number of burglaries and similar incidents nationwide.
The silver car was searched and a number of house breaking implements as well as gloves and face coverings were seized.

Gardaí reported that the car was bearing false registration plates.
All men are being detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at garda stations in Dublin.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information or who may have seen the silver Volvo in their area to contact them.
