Emmerdale spoilers from Friday’s (21 August) episode, which is streaming on ITVX and YouTube hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Emmerdale has confirmed the details of Caleb Miligan’s sinister revenge plan against Joe Tate, with all this coming after Billy Fletcher found out that Kev Barton was the one who attacked him at the depot.
For a few weeks now, Billy had been under the assumption that Joe – the man engaged to his ex-wife Dawn – was the one behind the attack, but he discovered the truth earlier this week.

Given he was planning to leave the village with Dawn, this threw a spanner in the works. He subsequently confronted Caleb and Ruby, who knew about the attack, though they still wanted their revenge on Joe.
The episode concluded with the couple refusing to hand over the fake passports for Dawn and Billy until they got a sense of vengeance, leaving Dawn and Billy in a tricky situation as they wanted to resolve their future.
In Friday’s episode of the ITV soap, Dawn shares that they needed to leave the Dales immediately, but Billy knew they weren’t able to go without the passports. He attempts to convince Caleb and Ruby to change their minds, but they don’t budge.
Billy later meets with Dawn, and informs her that Caleb and Ruby want Joe to be humiliated on his wedding day. Dawn explains that she won’t do that to him, and forges ahead with their plan to leave even if they don’t have the passports.
Kev tries to make amends with Billy, and almost drops himself in it as Dawn questions how they know each other so well. They cover the truth by saying that Billy is helping Kev with a fitness plan, before Billy gets a text from Caleb.

While Ruby arranges a deal to buy Jimmy King’s haulage firm, Billy calls Dawn and tells him that he’s stuck in traffic on the motorway. He was actually organising a deal with Caleb, who says he’ll give him the passports in the morning.
As Caleb and Ruby share champagne in the evening, it soon becomes clear that the arc involving Jimmy is integral to their grand plan involving Joe. As Joe looks forward to the big occasion, Caleb ominously says that it will be the “worst day” of his rival’s life.
