Mary Byrne from Castleblayney has been selected as our Local Hero of the Week.

Mary is the founder of Castleblayney News and raises money for numerous charities.

Mary was nominated by her daughter Andrea who said Mary “always puts everyone else first” and in a stalwart in the local community.

Jodie Curran spoke with both Mary and Andrea on today’s Wider View.
