EastEnders has revealed that Suki and Eve Panesar-Unwin will head up a major new storyline this autumn, with the specific details set to be unveiled very soon.
Over the last year or so, Suki and Eve have been working towards becoming adoptive parents – a journey that has taken time and hasn’t always been easy, but one which was ultimately successful.

This summer, the couple were officially approved by the agency, and a little girl called Ria was placed in their care urgently. In recent weeks, Suki and Eve have worked hard to bond with vulnerable Ria and are now making progress after some beautiful scenes.
However, the wives could be about to have their lives turned upside down again, with producer Ben Wadey announcing this week that there are big things coming up for the popular couple.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media, he explained: “Suki and Eve have something big coming up. We have deliberately played out the adoption story very slowly and very realistically, because it’s a real-world issue that people go through, and we wanted to get that right.
“Suki’s been a little bit quiet for a little while, and we wanted to correct that. Suki and Eve have something quite major coming up – we’re going to do a little announcement in the coming weeks to tease that a bit more.”
While the soap is remaining tight-lipped for now about what Suki and Eve’s new story might be about, it shouldn’t be too long before we find out just what’s in store for the characters.

In the meantime, there’s drama ahead for Suki and Eve next week, as the couple learn that Ria’s mother could potentially be looking to seek custody of her daughter.
As devastated Suki and Eve take in this stressful news, tensions rise and Suki ends up rowing with Vinny over Penny and the baby.
Things take a turn for the worse as the week continues, when Ria gets injured at a party in the Square that Alfie throws in a bid to cheer up his struggling wife Kat.
Suki is concerned about the impact this incident could have on the custody case, so she threatens the Moons with legal action. Can Suki and Eve successfully fight to keep Ria?
EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
