Married At First Sight UK expert Paul C Brunson questioned “what’s the problem” as Anita and Paul struggled to land on the same page during the commitment ceremony. The duo were the final contestants in this year’s series to tie the knot, but big day and honeymoon started off rocky due to their reservations.
Anita admitted he wasn’t the ‘silver fox’ she was searching for and, when the two moved into their new apartment, she asked him for a chat as she was nervous about living with him due to his ‘overwhelming’ and ‘frantic’ energy. When he asked her how he was finding married life, he said: “It’s been difficult at times.”
The couple has been struggling in the experiment, with Anita thinking Paul doesn’t ask enough questions about her. And during tonight’s commitment ceremony, Brunson was quick to question what the issue is.

In a first look clip shared with The Mirror, a nervous-looking Anita and Paul sat across from the experts as expert Brunson asked: “At the end of the day, why are you here?”
Anita said: “To find love,” and when Brunson asked what that meant to her, she added: “A partner in crime. Somebody to walk alongside us, still be holding hands when we’re 80. Somebody who’s there for you.”
He then turned to Paul and asked him the same question. The retired contestant said: “I want to find a partner, I want to find love. I want to cry with someone, laugh with someone.”

Brunson asked: “How’s what you guys said different in terms of what you’re looking for?’ Anita reiterated that she ‘wants love’ before Brunson questioned whether what she described was the same to what Paul described.
Anita admitted it was, and Brunson, satisfied with the answer, asked: “Okay, so what’s the problem? Ultimately, you both said you want someone who supports you and that’s the place to remain focused on. Be each other’s support.”
They went on to their decisions, with Anita saying: “Paul is a lovely man. He is the gentleman I asked for. He really is attentive. I totally see why you matched us up.”
Right after meeting Paul, Anita’s daughter-in-law, Jodie, questioned whether he has a serious side. She said: “The only reservation is can he get serious. Is he a little bit too much of joker?”
Anita was also unimpressed, telling the cameras: “First impressions of Paul… he’s not the silver fox I had in mind. He’s not the type I’d gravitate to.”
However, after the vows, she slowly warmed up to him and added: “He seems very nice, he’s a bit of a joker, he’s not the silver fox I envisioned but I do want to get to know him. I just want to wait, see what happens and hopefully the attraction part will come later.”
