The 44th year of the awards recognizes the most innovative and cutting-edge products in hifi, home theater & vision, photography, mobile devices, and in-car electronics. The renewed and expanded association also announced a much-welcomed return to Berlin, as the ceremony to crown the best electronics products of 2026-2027 takes place the opening night of IFA Berlin.

The Expert Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) announced the winners of the EISA Awards 2026-2027, marking the 44th edition of the world’s longest-running and most respected awards for consumer electronics. As always, this year’s winners represent the products that EISA’s expert groups judged to be the outstanding performers of the year. While most of the winning products could have been predicted, there are also some clear surprises and a few newcomers. Seeing DALI winning in many categories, including the new VEGA lifestyle music system, is remarkable. The contenders in the soundbar category continue to be interesting choices, while the mobile category continues to be extremely underserved and unjust. Seeing Samsung winning with the just-launched Galaxy Buds4 Pro is not exactly a good sign for the category, while the surprising Loewe leo win in the over-ear headphones can only be explained by the overwhelming number of German-based publications that are part of EISA.
The winners were selected through EISA’s long-established judging process. Over several months, editors from more than fifty specialist technology magazines and websites in roughly 27 countries tested hundreds of new products from every major manufacturer, comparing notes and, in the case of most categories, meeting in person to debate and vote on the strongest candidates in each category before reaching a final consensus. This works well in the well-established categories served by excellent publications, but doesn’t work for the new categories that don’t even have dedicated independent publications.
As always, this year’s list of winners spans everything from loudspeakers and mirrorless cameras to flagship smartphones, home theater systems, and in-car infotainment, reflecting both the breadth of EISA’s expertise and the pace of innovation across the consumer electronics industry over the past twelve months. EISA Returns to Berlin
The EISA Gala Ceremony promises to be unlike any before it. On Friday, September 4, 2026, the opening day of IFA Berlin, the Expert Imaging and Sound Association will once again gather the industry’s leading names to celebrate the winners of the EISA Awards 2026-2027, continuing a tradition that has defined excellence in consumer electronics for more than four decades.
EISA brings together more than fifty specialist technology magazines and websites from roughly 27 countries, spanning five expert groups: Hi-Fi, Home Theatre & Vision, Photography, Mobile Devices, and In-Car Electronics. The stage for this year’s celebration returns to IFA Berlin, running from September 4 to 8 at Messe Berlin, which remains one of the world’s foremost trade fairs for consumer electronics and home appliances, drawing tens of thousands of visitors, exhibitors, and journalists from every corner of the globe.
This edition arrives at a symbolic turning point for the association. Under its new leadership, spearheaded by EISA president Ljubiša Miodragović, and following the unveiling earlier this year of a completely refreshed visual identity, the organization is entering the Berlin gala with fresh momentum and an evidently renewed sense of ambition.
