Fans of Emmerdale and Coronation Street will have to take a forced break tonight as both ITV soaps are off the air, with ITV1 broadcasting the Carabao Cup live. This means the usual slots reserved to the two shows are taken by a football match between Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.
Fret not, as both soaps will air in their usual slots tomorrow, with ITV1 also making up for the missed double episodes on Sunday.
This weekend, Emmerdale and Corrie will be airing at 9pm and 9.30pm respectively on 30 August.

As the two soap’s dramatic storylines are taking a backseat, fans will have to wait until tomorrow to find out what happens to Emmerdale pair Dawn and Billy Fletcher as the two exes fled on the day of Dawn’s wedding to Joe Tate.
Caleb Miligan also revealed his revenge to Joe earlier than planned, potentially jeopardising the scheme.
Meanwhile on Corrie, a spiralling Todd Grimshaw is resorting to self-destructive behaviour to cope in the aftermath of his horrific ordeal with abusive husband Theo Silverton, who was killed by Sarah Platt.
As Todd is growing closer to newcomer Celeste, who’s Bernie Winter-Alahan’s estranged aunt, a sudden, sad death might just tip him over the edge.

For her part, Bernie, who’s been giving her aunt the cold shoulder and has no intention of mending their relationship, will also have to reconsider her actions once Celeste dies.
“When Celeste actually passes away, Bernie has to deal with the fact she threw away the chance to reconcile – especially when a heartbreaking twist in the tale throws her life into a complete spin. What was Celeste hiding?” explained our Corrie insider.
Emmerdale and Coronation Street will air on ITV1 in a special slot at 9pm and 9.30pm on Sunday 30 August.
