Manchester City have completed the £85.6million signing of Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, the Premier League club have announced.
The 18-year-old Morocco international has signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium after the clubs agreed a fee over the weekend.
The deal is worth an initial £81million with the rest of the fee made up in potential add-ons.
Bouaddi’s arrival increases manager Enzo Maresca’s midfield options following the recent departures of Rodri and Tijjani Reijnders, with Nico Gonzalez also poised to leave.
He is City’s second major summer signing after the £116m capture of Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest.
Tottenham have agreed a season-long loan deal with City for forward Omar Marmoush with an obligation to buy for £60million next year.
The Egypt international is now set to undergo a medical with the London club and complete the formalities of the move.
It will be Spurs’ second capture from City in a matter of days after signing Brazil winger Savio in a deal worth an initial £75m.
Nico Gonzalez has arrived in Newcastle to complete the final details of his move from Manchester City.
The 24-year-old Spanish midfielder is set to cost the Magpies up to £52million, according to reports.
Gonzalez, who joined City from Porto at the end of the 2025 winter transfer window, is a defensive midfielder and could help bolster the Newcastle midfield in the absence of Bruno Guimaraes, who has moved to Arsenal.
Gonzalez started 17 Premier League matches for City last season, making a further eight appearances as a substitute.
Jean-Philippe Mateta is a target for Aston Villa
Aston Villa have submitted a bid for Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, although it falls below the London club’s valuation of the France international, according to The Athletic.
Villa are also close to agreeing a £59.8m deal for Chelsea and Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson, as reported by French outlet Foot Mercato.
Nottingham Forest are in talks with Corinthians over a move for 20-year-old Brazil midfielder Andre, according to the Mail.
Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has joined Crystal Palace on loan for the season.
The 28-year-old has been part of a group training separately from the main Chelsea squad having spent last season on loan at West Ham.
He was told at the start of the 2025-26 campaign that he had no future at Stamford Bridge and for the first half of last season he was forced to stay away from the first-team squad entirely.
He went on to impress at the London Stadium after moving in January, making 17 appearances, but could not prevent the club’s relegation to the Championship.
He previously played 10 times on loan at Aston Villa.
