A Mayo TD has said he encountered significant overcrowding at Mayo University Hospital following a late-night visit to the emergency department.
Aontú’s Paul Lawless went to the hospital on Tuesday last, following a call from a constituent who said they had been waiting in excess of 24 hours in the Emergency Dept of the hospital..
Over the preceding 48 hours, deputy Lawless claims 300 people presented to the emergency department at Mayo University Hospital.
