A Derry woman living in Buncrana had a shopping trip to remember today after a phone call left her an incredible €200,000 euro richer!
Delighted Eve was the winner of the coveted Cash Machine, a massive cash prize competition running across the Bauer Media Audio Ireland GoLoud Network, which includes 98FM and Today FM.
Eve, who is from Derry and lives in Buncrana, received an on-air call from competition presenter Barry Dunne and had to tell him the exact amount in the cash magazine.
Of course, Eve, who said she was ‘shaking’ and ‘panicking,’ knew that the answer was €200,000 euro.
On winning, she shouted out: ‘I don’t believe this, I just won the cash machine! I’m going to start crying in Tesco – oh my God!”
Her fellow shoppers were also ecstatic and Eve told Barry how a ‘random woman’ gave her a hug.
She said she and her friends ‘joke’ about winning all the time.
And, despite fearing she had seven years bad luck after breaking a mirror, it was quite the opposite.

It’s the second time the prize has been won locally in just a matter of weeks.
Just last month, Meghan Dooher, originally from Ballindrait, was at home with her little one when presenter Barry rang to reveal she had scooped the life-changing prize.
It was also €200,000.
