Dolly Parton’s music has returned to the Irish charts following the country music legend’s death, with three of her best-known songs entering the Top 30.

Jolene is the highest placed at number 18 on the Official Irish Singles Chart, while Islands in the Stream, her hit duet with Kenny Rogers, is at number 24.

9 to 5 is also in the chart at number 28.

Parton’s music has also returned to the Irish albums Top 10, with Diamonds & Rhinestones: The Greatest Hits Collection re-entering the Official Irish Albums Chart at number 10.

The renewed interest in her music comes after Parton died on Tuesday at the age of 80 after being diagnosed with cancer.

Elsewhere on this week’s singles chart, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean remain at number one with Rein Me In, while Irish acts take three of the remaining places in the Top Five.

Dublin trio Amble hold at number two with The Swell, Kingfishr’s The Sun Will Never Settle is at number three, while Fontaines D.C.’s Marianne jumps 12 places to number five.

There was also a boost for The Weeknd following his two Croke Park shows last weekend. Timeless, his collaboration with Playboi Carti, re-enters the singles chart at number 16, with Starboy back at 19 and Save Your Tears at 20.

On the albums chart, The Weeknd’s The Highlights climbs from number 11 to number one, while Amble’s Reverie is at number four and Kingfishr’s Halcyon is at number six.
