Gortahork businessman Jamie O’Brien will offer viewers a glimpse into his working life in the new season of TG4’s Contractors.
Jamie, the owner of Jamie O’Brien Plant Marine & Agri, will feature in the third season of the observational documentary series when it begins on Thursday, 17th September 2026, at 9.30pm.
Jamie provides an extensive range of services, including turf cutting, mulching, reseeding, site clearance, concreting and drainage work.
His company also undertakes septic tank replacements, percolation work, kerbing, streets, footpaths, lawns and rockeries.
Jamie combines his busy contracting operation with running his own cattle and sheep farm.
Contractors is a seven-part series that follows eight agricultural contracting families and crews from Donegal, Armagh, Cork, Dublin, Kildare, Mayo and Wicklow over 12 months.
Viewers will see the contractors tackle demanding workloads, machinery problems, unpredictable weather and tight deadlines while attempting to balance their businesses with family life.
The Irish-language series also examines the challenges facing modern rural businesses, including shrinking margins, farm safety, climate change and the changing role of farmers.
Contractors returns to TG4 on Thursday, 17th September 2026, at 9.30pm.
