AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The Amarillo Museum of Art is selling tickets to its opening reception and gallery talks with two artists.
Hills Snyder’s “Strays” exhibit features both one-off works and parts of specific bodies of work, including “Ode,” “A Little Known Fact About the Oregon Trail,” and “Double Slit (I and I).”
Snyder was born in Lubbock, Texas. The museum says he was an integral part of the visual arts scene in San Antonio before moving to Magdalena, New Mexico.
The reception will take place Sept. 18.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served at 6 p.m. by Ruthie at Black Fig Food.
A gallery talk with artist Jack Craft is set for 6:45 p.m.
The gallery talk with Hills Snyder will follow at 7:15 p.m.
AMoA Members can attend the opening reception for free. Admission for non-members is $15.
