Bohemians striker Josh Harpur has joined Serie A side Como for an undisclosed fee.
Harpur, who signed his first pro deal with the League of Ireland club last December, made his first-team debut in the FAI Cup tie against Killester-Donnycarney last year aged just 15 while he made his league debut this season against Derry City.
Originally a goalkeeper in his younger days, the Cavan native has won seven international caps with the Republic of Ireland Under-17s, scoring three times.
He is the latest Irish player to sign with the Italian club, who make their Champions League debut against RB Leipzig on Thursday.
In 2024, Naj Razi joined from Shamrock Rovers before he moved back to the Hoops two years later.
Before that in 2022, Liam Kerrigan signed with the Italian side from UCD and made a number of Serie B appearances before an ACL injury saw his miss almost a year’s action.
Harpur said: “I would really like to thank everyone at the club who have supported me for the two years I spent with Bohs.
“Bohs gave me the platform to become a professional and that’s something I will always be grateful for, and I wish nothing but the best for the club in the coming years.”
