Spooky stories to be shared at Lucy’s Books in Astoria Oct. 11

The Astoria Downtown Historic District Association’s Halloween season begins Oct. 11 with “Scary Stories to Read in the Dark” at Lucy’s Books, at 951 Commercial St., in Astoria.
Storytellers will read family friendly ghost stories. There will be a DIY costume station featuring wigs, gowns and related accessories. The event is 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
Ten percent of sales will be donated to the Smart Reader program at Warrenton Grade School.
