Dublin Independent Fashion Week (DIFW) kicks off tomorrow, with an expanded slate of boundary-pushing, immersive and straight-up fun events.
From cross-medium exhibitions, showrooms that bring visitors behind the scenes of creation, pop-ups, markets and insightful talks, the DIFW are once again making good on its promise to champion Ireland’s emerging and established fashion talent, while also giving us a hell of a week of things to do.
While some events are invite-only or sold out, there are plenty more spread across the city to suit your tastes.

Common Thread showroom
Friday 11 September 2026 || 11am-4pm || The Chocolate Factory
This expansive show highlights how, although the Irish fashion industry encompasses a range of backgrounds, practices, aesthetics, and stories of different artists, they are all connected by a common thread: a love for fashion.
From Filipino designers, designers from non-fashion backgrounds, and even a mother-daughter duo, this showroom is an interactive and educational event where each participant can showcase their craft through demonstration and finished products. Free event.
The Fabric of Us II by wabisabi collections
Saturday 12 September 2026 || 12:30pm-8pm || The Linen Yard
Following a stunning first show at last year’s DIFW, the wabisabi team are back again with another celebration of women in creativity, returning bigger and more ambitious.
Over two showings – one in the afternoon and one in the evening – the event brings together six Irish female designers alongside women creatives from across the arts, exploring how fashion, music, performance, storytelling and visual art can come together to tell one shared story. Expect fun, high energy, great chats and incredible street style. Ticketed event, €20 per ticket.
Taippe x Misschiif in Loot Dublin
Saturday 12 September 2026 || 3pm-7pm || LOOT
This pop-up celebrates the exclusive capsule collaboration between Portuguese-Irish slow fashion brand Taippe and Irish/Nigerian screen-print artist and painter, Misschiif. Featuring a series of 1/1 pieces, with each “Taippe” garment individually screen-printed to create a completely unique work, guests will have the chance to shop the collection in the vibey setting of LOOT.
SAUNA PARTY x Ciara Emilie
Sunday 13 September 2026 || 10am-12pm || The Hot Box Sauna, Bolands Mills
For something very different, head on over to the most glamorous sauna party you’re ever likely to attend. Ciara Emilie is the founder of a brand new and innovative Irish swimwear brand, after years of working in luxury fashion in London. This event will not only allow guests to enjoy a luxury sauna experience, with hot and cold plunges, but also to meet Emilie, see the new designs up close and try them on.
Ticketed event, €22.42 per ticket, which covers. Please note: come in your own swimwear as you cannot buy on the day. Try-ons of the sample swimwear will be done over your own swimwear.
Curated Clothing Market by Second Best Collective

After a sold-out first event in August, the Second Best Collective is bringing their already hugely popular curated market to DIFW. Created by three Irish vintage sellers who wanted to create a community of fellow sustainable shopping lovers, this market will feature a considered mix of Irish vintage sellers, jewellery makers and upcyclers. Expect music, surprises and freebies on the day!
Ticketed event, with two runs at 11am and 2pm. €4.73 per ticket.
Threads of Motion
Monday 14 September 2026 || 7pm-9pm || Rua Red
A truly exceptional event, Threads of Motion delves into the fashion and craft developed in the glamorous and rigorous world of pole dancing. Through making, upcycling, modifying and collaborating on performance garments, performers become both the designers and the models, their creations taking on new life once they hit the pole.
Expect dynamic performances exploring fashion through movement, including styles of glamour, flow, exotic and power. Guests are invited to experience an existing fashion culture of a sophisticated, visual culture of movement, outfits, styling and presentation where the dancer and garment exist in a collaborative relationship.
