The Valley, Achill, Co. Mayo – peacefully, at home in her 95th year, in the loving care of her daughter Mary Alice, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday 12th September 2026.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Michael, her son Patrick, her brothers Michael, Francis, Tommy, Paddy, Johnny, and her sister Bridget.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving sons and daughters Christy, Tom, Mary Alice, Breda and Bernie, daughter-in-law Nora, sons-in-law Tommy and Laurence, her grandchildren Lynda (Owen), Kathleen (Paul), Kirsty and Michael, and her great-grandchildren Tom, Matthew, Kate, Niamh, Aidan and Honor.
Remembered with love by her sisters-in-law Annie McGreal, Mary Mc Greal, Mary McDermott and Sarah O’Neill, nieces, nephews, extended family, good neighbours and friends.

Mary Kate will repose at Lavelle’s Funeral Home, Cashel, Achill, F28 Y0H9, on Monday 14th from 5.00pm until 7.00pm.
Removal from her residence on Tuesday morning to St. Joseph’s Church, Bunnacurry, Achill for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Bunnacurry cemetery.
House private please. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to St. Colman’s Care Centre, Keel Achill.
