Antrim clubs Loughgiel and St John’s will await their fate after violent scenes marred their senior hurling clash at Fr Healy Park.
The group encounter, a repeat of last year’s county final, passed off without any major incident over the course of 63 minutes, with champions St John’s prevailing 3-14 to 0-30.
Both sides advanced to the knockout stages in a game that saw just three yellow cards handed out.
At the full-time whistle however tempers flared between both panels.
Initially players and mentors on both sides clashed in the middle of the pitch, before footage from the ground shows how things escalated further with the violence spilling over into the crowd.
The clubs will now await any proposed penalties resulting from the action.
Antrim GAA said it will not comment as the CCCC awaits referee’s Darren McKeown match report.
