The Defence Forces are advising the public of a training exercise planned for Longford and Roscommon.
It will take place at the Lanesborough Power Station and runs from today until early Wednesday afternoon.
Military personnel and equipment will be present in the area and nearby.
Blank ammunition and fire-based training aids may be used but no live ammo will be on site.
The army has reassured locals the exercise is carefully planned to avoid disruption.
