Roma’s Evan Ferguson is an injury doubt for Ireland’s upcoming double-header

There was mixed news on the injury front for Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson ahead of the World Cup double-header against Portugal and Armenia as Evan Ferguson is now a concern with an ankle injury which kept him out of the Roma side.

Hallgrimsson would have been encouraged by the sight of Troy Parrott coming off the bench for the last 15 minutes for AZ Alkmaar in their 2-1 league win at home to Telstar, his first outing for club or country since he picked up a knee injury in training last month.
