A penthouse at Miami’s One Thousand Museum has just sold for $22 million, adding another blockbuster deal to the Zaha Hadid-designed tower. Penthouse 5501 spans roughly 9,200 square feet, taking up an entire floor of the 62-story building, with 360-degree views of Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami. It has five bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, and a sprawling wraparound terrace.
Originally listed for $25 million in January 2024, the price was later dropped to $23.75 million. Saddy Abaunza Delgado and Valeria Kelly of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller, Karlovy Properties LLC. Shauna Walters of Walters Plaxen Estates and Lianne Graubart of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyer.

The residence has been extensively reworked since it was first built. There are now higher ceilings in the living and family rooms, 10-foot-tall doors, and a fully enclosed second kitchen. The mostly open layout and walls of glass keep the focus on the views, while the oversized terraces extend the living space outside. There are also staff quarters and four secured parking spaces.
One Thousand Museum, completed in 2020, is hard to miss. Hadid’s signature concrete exoskeleton wraps around the outside of the building, creating the curving silhouette that has made it one of downtown Miami’s most recognizable towers. The building’s 84 residences, many of them large, full-floor layouts, were designed around its unusual structure, with floor plates that are almost entirely column-free.

The nearly $20,000 monthly association fee for the penthouse covers a slate of amenities, including a sky lounge, infinity-edge pool, fitness center, spa, private screening room, event spaces, and a rooftop helipad.
This sale follows another notable transaction earlier this year, when David and Victoria Beckham sold their penthouse for $25 million in an off-market deal. The couple purchased the 9,200-square-foot residence in 2020 for about $19.8 million, netting an estimated $4.8 million gain, not counting closing costs and improvement expenses. Other high-profile owners include hedge fund billionaire Ken Griffin, who owns two units on the 58th floor. Market America executive Loren Ridinger now has her place priced at $22 million after first listing it for $24 million, while Marc Anthony sold his residence last year for $8.6 million, taking a substantial loss from the $11 million he paid.
