Perth’s coastline is a prominent feature in work by this year’s City of Subiaco Photographic Awards winners.
Fremantle photographer Kerry Faulkner was crowned overall winner by the judging panel, comprising experienced Subiaco-based photographers.
Glenda Gore won the open category for her work Cottesloe Mermaids and Edisson Suarez took out the new AI category for Tiny Universe.
The kids prize winner was 11-year-old Indigo Hardisty for Summer’s Sunset (my sister’s name is Summer), and 14-year-old Miley Jasper’s photo Fallen in Light was the youth winner.
Subiaco resident Joseph Rae won the resident’s prize for Bodyslam.

Mayor David McMullen congratulated all photographers who took part.

“The city’s Photographic Awards are a longstanding part of our cultural calendar, giving photographers of all ages and experience levels a platform to share their creativity and perspective,” he said.
“This year’s winning and highly commended works showcase a breadth of talent, from our youngest competition entrants through to experienced photographers.”

Finalists’ works are on display at Subiaco Library until September 27.
Visitors can see the exhibition and vote for their favourite photograph in the People’s Choice Award.
