BEIJING, Sept 18 (Reuters) – China’s fiscal revenue ‌rose 5.7% in ‌the first eight months of ​2026 from a year earlier, finance ministry data showed Friday, slightly ‌down ⁠from a 5.8% growth in the ⁠January-July period.

Fiscal expenditure grew 1.2% year-on-yea over ​the January-August ​period, ​compared with ‌a 1.3% increase in the first seven months.

Last month, China’s Vice Finance Minister Liao Min ‌said authorities ​were preparing ​new ​fiscal-financial support measures ‌to roll out ​in ​the second half of this year and ​Beijing ‌will refine its policy ​toolkit as economic ​conditions evolve.
