Big Tom Weekend is kicking off tonight in Oram to honour what would have been the 90th birthday of the country music legend.
John Glenn, Damian Davis and Thomas McBride Junior are among those taking to the stage as part of the celebrations.
Oram man Carl Laverty grew up with Big Tom and was one of his closest friends.
He’s been telling Joe Finnegan about the role he played in helping to launch the singer’s career.
Country music superstar Margo O’Donnell is also set to perform in the village this weekend.
