Galaxy S26 owners won’t have to wait much longer for Samsung’s One UI 9 update. The Android 17-based software is all set to roll out globally next week. Samsung has confirmed that One UI 9 will reach S26 phones in several markets starting this Monday, September 21. The company will then update its 2025 flagships in the following week.
Galaxy S26’s global One UI 9 rollout is almost here
The Galaxy S26 series was the first to receive the stable One UI 9 update after months of beta testing. The initial release started in South Korea on September 16, but Samsung won’t take long to expand the rollout to other countries. Galaxy S26 users will start seeing the stable update early next week.
As with any Samsung software rollout, availability can still vary by country, carrier, and device variant, so not every phone will necessarily receive the update at exactly the same time. However, most S26 units should receive One UI 9 by the end of next week. The update brings Android 17 alongside Samsung’s latest One UI experience, including new and improved Galaxy AI capabilities, enhanced device care tools, and new privacy and security features.

Galaxy S25, Fold 7 and Flip 7 follow on September 28
The Galaxy S26 isn’t the only lineup getting One UI 9 this month. Samsung has also confirmed the next wave for the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, with their rollout scheduled to begin on September 28. As usual, the rollout is expected to be gradual, so some users may have to wait longer than others.

Nonetheless, Samsung now looks set to bring One UI 9 to more Galaxy devices, having already shipped the latest foldables and a couple of other devices with its Android 17-based software out of the box. The update should roll out in bulk to dozens of Galaxy smartphones and tablets in October.
