Carnefowler, Belmullet and formerly of Barrack Street, Belmullet, Co. Mayo – peacefully, at the Áras Deirbhle Nursing Home, Belmullet surrounded by her loving family in her 98th Year on 20th September 2026.
Predeceased by her husband Tony, parents Tom and Sarah, sisters Teresa and Margaret, uncle Mike, aunt Maggie, stepson Fred and son-in-law Michael.
She will be sadly missed by her family, stepdaughters Tisha, Muriel, Pauline, Joan and Kathleen, stepsons David and Ronnie, brother Peter, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Syd will lie in repose at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Monday evening from 5.30 until 7 o’clock with funeral arriving at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet at 8 o’clock. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon followed by burial at Glencastle New Cemetery.
