Huawei has announced a new launch event for September 28, suggesting that the Mate 90 series will debut next week. But after just one promotional poster, without any teaser for the new flagship, a few reports said the launch is set for September 29.
The launch date of the Mate 90 series continues to be a mystery. Despite many leaks and even official announcements, it’s unclear when the top-tier lineup will appear on the consumer platform.
When Huawei today shared a new launch event announcement on its Weibo page for smart vehicle releases, many netizens predicted to witness the Mate 90 next week.
But the company hasn’t dropped any Mate 90 series teaser yet. Moreover, a few reports on Chinese social media indicated that the new flagship will debut on September 29 through an online launch conference, alongside many iconic products.
A tipster even mentioned the time, saying that the Huawei Mate 90 series will launch on September 29 at 14:30. Though the OEM hasn’t confirmed this news yet.
29 September seems an accurate date based on previous launches. Huawei generally picks Tuesdays for its dynamic product launch event. If not all, at least the company has followed this “day” strategy with regular Mate phones since 2022.

Perhaps this is a reason for launching the Mate 90 series on the 29th of September and not on the 28th. Note that the Chinese tech giant hasn’t announced anything on this matter yet. However, the chances of the Mate 90 showing up on the stage next week are still high. The only difference may be the date.
