St Mirren midfielder Killian Phillips has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures following a double injury blow to Heimir Hallgrimsson.
Jamie McGrath (Hibernian) and Harvey Vale (Queens Park Rangers) have been forced to withdraw from the squad due to injuries sustained while on club duty over the weekend.
Both players pulled up in the warm-up before games against Aberdeen and Preston North End respectively, putting their participation in doubt.
Confirmation arrived this morning that they would be unavailable for the international window.
Phillips will link up with the squad in Dublin today before the traveling party departs for Pristina for the match against Kosovo on Thursday.
The Boys in Green then travel to Debrecen, Hungary, to face Israel, before returning to Dublin for a home tie against Austria at the Aviva Stadium.
The window concludes with a second fixture against Israel, set to be played in Bačka Topola, Serbia.
