Canadian artists can officially submit themselves for Juno contention, as the 2027 Juno submissions presented by TD are open now.

Category changes for 2027
The Junos previously announced several categories would be updated for next year, with changes taking place within the rap, electronic, reggae, classical and gospel categories.
Rap album/EP of the year and rap single of the year will be replaced by melodic rap recording of the year and rap recording of the year.
Electronic/dance single of the year and electronic/dance album/EP of the year will replace electronic album of the year and dance recording of the year.
Reggae recording of the year will be changing to reggae/dancehall recording of the year.
Contemporary Christian/gospel recording of the year will replace contemporary Christian/gospel album of the year, meaning that singles, EPs and albums will all be eligible.
The classical and jazz categories will also be updating eligibility, with the jazz categories moving from the current 80 per cent threshold to 51 per cent in vocal and instrumental performance. Classical album of the year (small ensemble) and classical album of the year (large ensemble) will now be exempt from the general restriction on compilation albums. Additionally, there is now eligibility on original classical works by active Canadian composers.
