A pervert landlord who was caught on a hidden camera masturbating in his tenant’s underwear after secretly entering her room and rummaging through her belongings while she was out has been placed on a 12-month Probation Supervision Order.
The shocking secret footage exposed the perv landlord after his tenant became suspicious that someone had been entering her room while she was away.
The man, who cannot be identified as reporting restrictions were put in place at Drogheda District Court, was filmed rummaging through her possessions before masturbating into a pair of her underwear.
The 64-year-old, who cannot be identified as reporting restrictions were put in place by the presiding judge, had pleaded guilty at Drogheda District Court to one charge of intentionally engaging in offensive conduct of a sexual nature at an address in Drogheda, Co Louth on June 17, 2025.
The court heard that the man and female tenant had worked together and that he had rented a room to her.
The woman noticed that items in her room seemed to have been moved while she was out.
The court heard that the woman was renting the room in the house for a couple of weeks when she became suspicious – but initially put it down to her being tired after work.
However, she later set up a mobile phone to record to see if someone was coming into the room while she was out.
On the phone she saw the man rummaging through her belongings before he masturbated into a pair of her underwear.
The woman contacted gardai who in turn arrested the landlord and charged him. The court heard he co-operated with the garda investigation and made admissions.
At a previous court sitting, the landlord offered €1,000 in compensation which represented all of his savings and the then presiding judge said the €1,000 was a token of remorse and not intended to put a value on what happened.
The court previously heard he hasn’t worked since the incident and was on social welfare.
The case was finalised on Monday, when Judge John Brennan placed the landlord on a 12-month Probation Supervision Order after a positive Probation Report was handed into court.
The judge told the man that once his 12 months Probation Supervision Order is complete that “will be the end of it.”
