Milemarker, a Snowflake-native data platform for wealth management, has launched Milemarker Firm MCP, a Model Context Protocol server that provides advisory firms with one governed artificial intelligence connection across all their data, including more than 300 features covering data exploration, reporting, entitlements, data governance, workflows and application building.
The platform draws on the 140-plus custodians, CRMs, portfolio systems and planning tools already integrated with Milemarker, as well as legacy systems many firms still use, according to the company.
“In essence we are making the advisor into the data scientist not just for your firm, but for the families that you serve,” said Jud Mackrill, co-founder and chief executive officer of Milemarker.
He said that while the industry push to deliver MCP servers was a great development, the fact remains that many companies still run legacy systems that hold data their businesses rely on, which likely will not have an API built for them.
An MCP brings those data sources into a firm’s data layer foundation as well, he said.
The launch follows Anthropic’s introduction of Claude for Financial Advisors with connectors from Charles Schwab, Orion, Envestnet, Addepar, Zocks, Wealthbox and others.
Asked about pricing and cost, even for a ballpark figure, Mackrill refused to be pinned down.
“What people are paying varies widely and for us it is based on the volume of data,” he said.
“We try to make it as cost efficient as possible,” said Mackrill, noting that his company analyzes a firm’s business, determines all the applications it uses, maps all the data and data sources for creating the optimal infrastructure and determining sources of truth.
Milemarker introduced its more general, self-customizable MCP server in May 2026 as a rollout to partner firms, and every client firm now has access to all 300-plus features with no waitlist, Mackrill said.
He said that the new Firm MCP works with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini and other MCP-compatible clients and that an advisory firm’s data remains in its own Milemarker Snowflake environment.
Founded in 2021, Milemarker has, over the years, offered a mix of consulting, managed back-office services and a fractional chief data officer tool.
In addition, the company has offered several software-as-a-service products, including an Advisor Relationship Management platform, an Integration Suite, Data Analytics and Reporting for Wealth Management and the Milemarker Analytics Suite, much of the latter SaaS technology having been consolidated and now included in its Firm Intelligence product, which was launched in late 2024, followed shortly thereafter by an automated technology audit tool.
