Safe Passages, a mixed media show in partnership with Roaring Fork Safe Passages, is hosting a conversation with Executive Director Cecily DeAngelo, Director of Communications Tucker Vest Burton and participating artists from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Aspen Chapel Gallery.
“Roaring Fork Safe Passages is a nonprofit citizen-led coalition dedicated to developing and implementing a comprehensive, valley-wide plan to mitigate wildlife-vehicle collisions,” a press release states. “While government funding sources exist, accessing these resources and driving meaningful change requires sustained community engagement and a dedicated local organization capable of coordinating stakeholders, advocating for wildlife and translating scientific findings into on-the-ground solutions.”
According to the release, the moderator will be Andrew Travers, senior manager and penner manager of Educational Programs at the Resnick Center for Herbert Bayer Studies.
Safe Passages was curated by Greg Poschman, and it will be the 269th consecutive exhibition since the gallery opened 41 years ago.
The artists in the show are Cam Burns, Katalin Domoszlay, Dave Durrance, Erin Ely, Julie Grimm, Cary Guy, Nancy Kullgren, Poschman, Willow Poschman, Tamara Susa, Pam Weber and Ellen Woods, the release confirms.
