Pura X Max and View models have made a splash in the market for their new form factors, and after the success of these handsets, Huawei has seemingly started working on another 6.1′ compact phone that may soon debut on the consumer platform.

DigitalChatStation noted that Huawei is likely to give another shot to small-screen devices with a new 6.1′ compact phone. The company is evaluating a 6.17-inch screen device supporting 1.5K resolution.

Based on the screen details, the upcoming device would be smaller than the available phones on the market. Other details like name, internal specs, and overall dimensions of this mysterious handset are currently under wraps.

The tipster hasn’t revealed much about the new small-screen device. He has given these insights based on the previously leaked screen information and adds that “the product line is not yet clear”.

The screen size, though, suggests that the device could belong to the Huawei compact phone category.

For comparison, Huawei has launched the Pura X View with a 6.39-inch LTPO 2 OLED wide display panel, supporting a 2232 x 1320 pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 6500nits peak brightness, and a 16:9.5 aspect ratio.

Since the launch of the Pura X Max and Pura X View, compact and wide-screen phones have become a new trend in the market. Huawei is planning to gain some more attention in this trend with its unique and innovative products.

A wide-screen Nova handset is also reportedly in the making. Whether the company will launch this device by the end of this year or save it for 2027 is unclear for the time being.
