ALDI previously invested over €14 million in Limerick-based suppliers in 2025
A family-run Limerick bakery has secured a major new two-year deal with ALDI worth €5 million, extending its long-standing partnership with the supermarket.
Dromcollogher’s Twomey’s Bakery, which has supplied ALDI since 2019, will see its existing contract extended by two years at €2.5 million per annum.
The security of the deal will allow the West Limerick bakery to increase its supply volume to ALDI stores nationwide by 10%.

Founded in 1901 and now run by four generations of the Twomey family, the business employs more than 25 people in the local area.
Alongside the contract extension, Twomey’s is launching several new product lines exclusively in ALDI stores across the country. These include a new luxury tartlet range priced at €2.99, featuring Chocolate & Caramel, Lemon & White Chocolate, and Hazelnut flavours, as well as a new preservative-free Arán bread.

ALDI invested over €14 million with Limerick-based food and drink suppliers in 2025 alone, as part of a national spend exceeding €1 billion across its network of Irish producers.
Buying Director at ALDI Ireland, Laurence Kelly welcomed the announcement, saying, “Working with a supplier such as Twomey’s is great. It not only allows us to support Irish businesses, but it also ensures our customers have the best quality Irish products on our shelves. This contract extension is proof that supporting Irish suppliers who produce great quality products doesn’t have to be complicated.”
