Global data centre infrastructure company Vertiv has lodged plans for a major expansion at its Letterkenny plant.
The planning application seeks permission for an additional 8,485 square metres (91,000 sq ft) of new production facility space on a 3.5 hectare (8.6 acre) site adjacent to its current facility at Lisnennan.
The proposed development will also include the provision of additional car parking, provision of bicycle parking and new footpaths and public lighting.
Vertiv’s Irish operation more than doubled its pre-tax profits last year as demand surges for data-centre equipment.
Revenues at Vertiv Ireland Limited rose from €131.2 million to €182.5 million in 2025, while pre-tax profits increased from €43.6 million to €111.6 million, the Irish Times reported.
The company has major operations in Letterkenny and Burnfoot, as well as Campsie in Derry.
Up to 300 skilled jobs are expected to be created with the latest expansion.
The company has added more than 500 staff across its Irish operations since the start of the year.
