A turtle who washed up on a beach in Co Kerry 22-years-ago has finally been released back into the Atlantic Ocean.
Now 34-years-old, Molly, the 18-stone loggerhead turtle had been living at the Oceanworld aquarium in Dingle before being released back into the ocean off the coast of Portugal yesterday.
The sea turtle had a long road to recovery after she washed up on the Maharees, following a storm in 2004, when she was a three-stone 12-year-old adolescent.
