The new owners of Sinéad O’Connor’s Bray seafront home are set to pay tribute to the late singer, as the home undergoes renovations.
The singer passed away in 2023 at her London home, aged 56. She lived in her stunning home in Bray from 2007 to 2021, and it went on the market in 2021.
The house sold for nearly €1.3 million last year, and the owners were granted planning permission for a major renovation, which will include a home bar, gym, and sauna.

The makeover and extension were granted to the home’s new owners in January and began earlier this month, with a tribute to its previous owner set to be erected at the front of the property.
Drawings submitted with the planning permission application show a plaque on the front of the property that reads: ‘SINEAD O’CONNOR; musician, activist 1966 – 2023 lived here from 2007 to 2021.’
The 1860s double-fronted six-bed house faces the Bray promenade and was sold by Sinéad for just over €1 million in November 2021. The buyers initially sought to develop the home into luxury apartments, but planning permission was rejected. It returned to the market in December 2024 and sold for €1.295 million last August.

Following Sinéad’s passing in 2023, floral tributes lined the front of the home as tributes poured in for the Nothing Compares 2 U singer. Thousands of people lined the streets outside her home as her funeral cortege passed her former home.
Tributes have continued on Sinéad’s third anniversary, including from her ‘sister’ Imelda May, who shared a lovely photo of the pair, adding that she ‘really f**king misses’ her.
‘I really f***ing miss you, sister,’ Imelda wrote alongside a pic of her and Sinéad at Shane MacGowan’s birthday. ‘Not just today but always.’

‘Rereading your texts and listening to voice notes doesn’t help but reminds me you’re just getting started and your voice is becoming more powerful than ever. People are only just hearing your truth ROAR!!!!!’
Imelda added that she’s grateful for getting closer to former Pogues frontman Shane’s widow, Victoria Mary Clarke, in the wake of Sinéad’s death, writing: ‘your passing brought many of our circle closer together, especially @VictoriaMaryClarke and I. Another thing I’m grateful to you for.’
