Ryan Tubridy will find himself having to relive his Late Late Toy Show days, as he and his wife, Dr Clare Kambamettu, have a little one on the way.
A source close to Ryan confirmed the news to EVOKE saying the baby is due ‘early in the New Year’ and Clare is ‘doing great’ but they want to keep it private.
The baby will be a sibling for Ryan’s two daughters who are aged 27 and 21 and the presenter looked to be in great spirits celebrating with a pint in Connemara on Saturday night.

Connemara is where Clare, 42, and Ryan, 53, tied the knot in December 2025.
It was a no-brainer for Ryan to put a ring on it, especially since Clare has been his rock during the highs and lows of the past couple of years, namely the RTÉ payments scandal.
Speaking previously to Kathryn Thomas, Ryan said: ‘If you met Clare, you’ll know why. I tell you what, I’ll be honest with you, I keep a lot to myself. I don’t share too much. If you met Clare, you’ll know why.’

‘Life is not linear, and when someone is there for all the bits, the good bits, the bad bits, the ups, the downs, the highs, the lows, and doesn’t waver, how could you not want to have that person in your life forever?,’ Ryan gushed.
‘I don’t want to overdo it and be that person boring everyone about how happy they are, but it’s just a lovely twist in the tale, and it makes perfect sense.’
And thus, he popped the question, after hiding Clare’s beautiful engagement ring in a Supervalu bag, no less (move over, Matt Damon!)

Soon after rumours started to swirl that he had purchased an engagement ring, Ryan confirmed that he had indeed popped the question and would be marrying Clare.
‘It’s a very exciting time to be alive, I’m a very, very lucky man. I think it’s one of those beautiful moments where the world feels lighter and there’s a beautiful new adventure ahead,’ he said on his radio show.
Opening up about that all-important moment, he wrote in his column: ‘By the Atlantic shore, I asked the important question, and thankfully, the answer was in the affirmative – and so began the most gorgeous weekend.’

Ryan and his bride Clare had a fun-filled wedding day with lots of personal touches in Connemara in December 2025.
From their upbeat first dance song performed by one of Ryan’s favourite bands, to Clare’s vintage-style wedding dress, and natural cake and bouquet choices, it was a wedding day full of meaning for both the bride and groom.
And now, here they are, starting a family of their own. No doubt Ryan’s grown-up daughters are going to be the best big sisters. Huge congratulations, Ryan and Clare!
