Béibhinn Parsons stole the show with a brilliant hat-trick as Scott Bernard’s side completed an historic 2-0 series clean sweep on their first-ever women’s tour of South Africa.
Having won their first test match 40-27, Ireland were determined not to sit back for the second game.
South Africa got off to a flying start with Unam Tose’s early try, but Erin responded just before Béibhinn crossed to extend Ireland’s advantage.

Speaking after the game, Erin looked back on how Ireland had played, stating, ‘We’re delighted with that. South Africa brought it to us, we had to stick to our processes.’
‘We spoke about being the first (women’s) Irish team to come to South Africa and win a test, and we did…We’re history makers now.’
