Celia Holman Lee’s husband has given an update on her health, saying that her family are by her side in hospital as she makes a slow recovery.
Ger Lee has revealed that Celia is getting better day by day, after the model boss sparked concerns amongst fans when she shared a worrying health post on her social media.
The Limerick lady’s husband of over 50 years assured fans that she is a fighter, telling the Sunday Independent that the family appreciate all the well wishes they have received.

‘Everyone who rings me or speaks to me and anyone that sends in a card, they all have this word “fighter”. I am thinking of putting it on a ring for her when she comes out [of hospital]. We have been a team all our lives,’ he told the outlet.
‘As a result, Celia will be unavailable for public engagements for a period of time. Her family asks that their privacy be respected during this difficult period so that they can focus on her care and recovery.’

‘Please know that every message is appreciated and gives them strength. Given the volume of messages, they may not be able to respond individually, and ask for your understanding if they are unable to do so,’ Ger added.
It remains unclear exactly what happened to Celia, but in a statement, a spokesman said that as a result of Celia’s health woes, she will not be available for public engagements ‘for a period of time’.

The statement read: ‘It is with heavy hearts that we share that Celia Holman Lee has experienced a major health setback and is currently receiving medical care.
‘As a result, Celia will be unavailable for public engagements for a period of time. Her family asks that their privacy be respected during this difficult period so that they can focus on her care and recovery.’
