Miss Ireland Caoimhe Kenny has revealed her shock after her car was stolen and burned out on Halloween night.

Caoimhe, who grew up in Fahan, said she was woken on Sunday morning by a call from gardaí informing her that her car had been broken into, robbed and then set on fire.

“I have had a pretty eventful 24 hours,” she told followers on Instagram.

“My car is completely burnt out. It is no more.”

Caoimhe said gardaí later collected the vehicle as part of an investigation into the incident.

She admitted she had not fully processed what had happened.

“Obviously, it’s really disappointing,” she said.

“I will miss my car. It was my first car.”

She also revealed that personal belongings had either been stolen or destroyed in the blaze, including a favourite pair of designer loafers.

“It’s just crazy. Just such a senseless act of vandalism,” she said.

Despite the shock, Caoimhe stressed that nobody had been hurt.

“At the end of the day, it is only a car. It can be replaced. Obviously, nobody was hurt or anything like that.

“But yeah, it’s not a great start to the month, but it can only go up from here.”

In another twist to an already eventful Sunday, Caoimhe also revealed on her socials that her replacement car was clamped.

Caoimhe, who works as a buying assistant for Brown Thomas and Arnotts, was crowned Miss Ireland 2025 and went on to represent Ireland at the Miss World final in Vietnam in September.

She has strong Donegal links, having grown up in Inishowen from the age of four to 16 and attended St Mura’s National School and Scoil Mhuire in Buncrana before moving to County Louth with her family as a teenager.

Caoimhe is the daughter of Stephen and Siobhán Kenny. Her father, the former Republic of Ireland soccer manager and current St Patrick’s Athletic boss, previously managed Derry City, with the family living in Fahan during that period.

Earlier this year, Caoimhe returned to St Mura’s for a surprise visit, bringing her Miss Ireland crown back to the school she once attended.
