Maddox has used the name Maddox Jolie professionally, including while working as an assistant director on the film Couture. According to People, his legal name change was approved in September.
Zahara, meanwhile, has publicly identified herself as Zahara Jolie while studying at Spelman College. According to People, her legal name change was approved in September.
Not all of the couple’s children have formally changed their names. Vivienne’s twin brother, Knox, used “Knox Jolie” on his high school diploma, although no public court filing for a legal name change had been reported.

That leaves 24-year-old Pax Jolie-Pitt as the only one of the six siblings still publicly using the dual surname, the Independent reported.
However, Pax has voiced strong criticism of his father. In a Father’s Day message that surfaced publicly in 2023, he described Pitt as a “world class asshole” and a “f****** awful human being”.
“You time and time and again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person,” wrote the then-16-year-old on his private Instagram account.
“You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence.”
Pitt and Jolie met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith in 2003, and started dating. They separated in 2016 after 12 years together and two years of marriage. Their divorce was finalised in December 2024.
