A pain reliever sold at Dollar Tree in South Carolina and nationwide has been recalled due to a labeling mistake.
The Food and Drug Administration said the outer label of ValuHealth Extra Strength Pain Relief Acetaminophen correctly identifies the product as 500 mg, 40-caplets per bottle, but the inner label says “ValuHealth Extra Strength Pain Relief PM 100, 134 40-count bottles.”
The FDA said it is not likely to cause health problems.
It was distributed by Prodose, Inc. of Ronkonkoma, New York and made in India.
Prodose initiated the recall on Oct. 14 and the FDA updated its recall classification to Class III on Oct. 26.
