One of the country’s most prominent Catholic teaching orders is planning to sell huge parcels of agricultural land in Co Tipperary to help fund an abuse redress scheme, the Irish Independent understands.
The redress scheme follows evidence of historic sexual assault and abuse of children at schools operated by the order. The sales could raise €20m.
